Enhancements can be added to the CyberLab® system to meet the specific needs of your facility:

Microbiology - This comprehensive module allows you to handle, process, result, track, and report microbiological culture tests. Up to nine work ups can be entered for any given microbiological test. Antimicrobial susceptibility tests offer therapeutic guidance to the doctor.

Tools are provided to enter source and site information, print micro-media labels, and log in microbiological specimens. Other result features are online work cards and the review and release of microbiology results sent from interfaced instruments and auto no-growth result entry.

Microbiology Decision Support provides the user flexibility to define system treatment and to handle culture specimens and results. Four microbiology reports can be generated: Infection Control, Susceptibility, Micro Monthly Trends, and Organism Percent Inhibited by MIC.

CyberMATE® - This wireless, hand-held device assures phlebotomists that they draw specimens from the correct patient for the correct ordered test. Redundant errors are reduced and productivity increased.

With a barcode wand attached to the hand-held CyberMATE device, the phlebotomist can scan the patient's wristband to ensure positive patient identification. When the specimens are collected, the action is recorded in CyberMATE and later uploaded to the CyberLAB system.

Standing Orders - You can enter sample orders that are scheduled or requested to occur at future dates, and the schedule connects directly to functions that collect and process samples. This module tracks one standing order or multiple standing orders, each with different ordered tests and/or frequencies.

A Standing Orders Report lists patient orders to be collected and generates a list of active standing orders. Expired standing orders can be purged.

Point-of-Care - The Point-of-Care tests are a group of tests from the Test Dictionary that are designated for the Point-of-Care module. This group of tests is defined by your facility in the CyberLAB system. Use of the Point-of-Care tests ensures a more complete patient medical record and captures charges that might otherwise be lost.

The tests are used for patient test and quality control. Many of the tests defined in Point-of-Care Maintenance can be waiver tests, meaning that a laboratory technologist is not required to conduct or oversee them. Specialized tests, such as microbiological cultures, manual differentials, and calculated tests are not supported in Point-of-Care.
